Stella Marie Giordano

Born November 9, 2019

She came into the world right on time. Amazingly, Erica gave birth on her exact due date. According to Jordan who is taking Health Class in high school, that only happens 5% of the time. She weighed in at 8 lbs, 5.4 ounces and measured 21 inches long. As it turned out, Erica showed up for a routine appointment. Her blood pressure was borderline high at 140/80. Since she was already at 40 weeks, they chose to admit her and induced the pregnancy which went without a hitch, except that when they asked the Mom and Dad about the name, they still hadn't decided. They were alternating between Stella and Isabella. In a strong move, Andrew stepped up and made an executive decision. Thus was born Stella Marie (middle name chosen by Erica).

This last picture is of Stella in her nursery at home. Erica was in the hospital just two days after delivery and was able to take Stella home fairly quickly. She looks peaceful and quiet now but we all know the sleepless nights are just around the corner. Still, there is nothing sweeter than a newborn baby's kisses.
