She came into the world a little earlier than expected but arrived healthy and happy to be here. She weighed in at 4 lbs, 13 ounces and measured 18 inches long. Because Michelle had mild pre-eclampsia, she had a C-section, giving birth to a tiny, beautiful little girl.

She was named Sophia (Golden Girls) Ripley (Sigourney Weaver - Alien) Fox (Dad's surname, not the network!).

I just think I let Michelle watch too much TV and scary movies. But, hey, I guess that's on me.

Here are some of the first pictures!

Sophia is in her bassinet in the NICU at 33-1/2 weeks. Mom getting a chance to cuddle with her new baby.

Grandpa George visiting (see picture on right). You can see how tiny she is as she holds onto my finger. So precious!

And to the left is Clint Fox, ahem, aka, the Father.

Below shows Clint signing the birth certificate, Erica holding her new niece and another shot of Mom and her new treasure!

These last two pictures are of Michelle and Sophia, finally getting a chance to hold hands and bond. So despite the many sleepless nights and poo-poo diaper changes yet to come, right now life is blissful and beautiful.
