It was a weekend full of activity as the girls came together to celebrate Michelle's 30th birthday, as well as, attend the Justin Timberlake concert here in San Antonio. The picture to the left was taken outside BJs restaurant just before we went back to the house for cake and presents for Michelle. To the right, is Michelle with Penelope, an animal she loves slightly more than any human that she's ever met. I suppose that a dog can be a "woman's" best friend, also.

But before I get too far ahead of myself, let's go back a day.

We all went out to celebrate Michelle's birthday. To the far right is Jordan getting ready for the evening. Our first stop was Grayze restaurant on Grayson Ave., downtown. It was a wonderful meal at a place that we chose for it's proximity to the AT&T center where Justin Timberlake was to perform that evening.

It was truly a great meal that started with tasty drinks, excellent food and delicious desserts. Cynthia had the cucumber martini. Pictured above is one of the desserts, a S'mores cheesecake! grayze Below, Michelle and Erica enjoy a Moscato poached burleed pear dessert. Unbelievable! sign

And then there was the concert!

Here are some photos and videos taken at the concert.

The next day after the concert, everyone got up late. We hung around the house and played pool and relaxed. About 3 p.m., we finally got enough energy to grab some dinner at BJs restaurant in Alamo Ranch. And then, last but not least, pulled out a cake to wish Michelle a happy 30th birthday. Of course, presents followed including a mini-fridge for her game room at her house.

Sure, Michelle got spoiled. But doesn't everyone need to be spoiled on their 30th birthday. The candles on the cake said "31". We did that as a joke since Michelle felt so bad about turning 30. (She didn't want "30" on the cake; she was hoping it said "29" !) She just doesn't know how young "30" really is but her "66" year old Dad definitely knows.

As usual, we made multiple toasts over the weekend to Mom, who is always with us. Connie
