& Jennifer Alaquinez turns 32
As frequently happens, with David's birthday on June 8 (1968) and Jennifer's birthday on June 6 (1986), we often end up celebrating both birthdays together. Splitting the difference, we met on a Thursday, June 7, 2018 to celebrate the birthday "kids" at a local Taco Cabana on Palo Alto where the have a 4-7 pm Happy Hour with a two-piece band playing music in the background.
As we slowly gathered for the celebration, the frozen Margaritas flowed smoothly, and were chased by nachos, shrimp tacos and crispy flautas. It was a fun night. Although there were very few pictures taken, there were about 25 people in the group not actually captured on digital film. We took over about 2/3 of the dining room.
The beautiful "Wonder Woman" cake (above) was a 5-layer cake with marshmallow frosting created by Jessica Viesca. As good as it looks in the picture, even the picture of it didn't do it justice. 
Destiny and Jace were there for the festivities.
As if there wasn't enough dessert, a second cake was also brought in. The number of candles could have represented a local fire hazard. We were able to coax the band into playing "happy Birthday" (twice) which they seemed very happy to do and were rewarded with their share of the birthday cake. 
Presents & cards were given and we talked about our next get together in July, the Boy George and Culture Club concert. I am sure that there will be pictures.
