Also included is a picture of the restaurant. The lighted baloons apparently were given to the birthday patrons. Sylvia got one for her table also, but unfortunately when we left, we forgot to take it with us. You can just make it out at the corner of the table in the picture of us together.
The next present was a shocker. I had bought two tickets to a Brooks and Dunn Concert on June 11. This is one of Sylvia's favorite musical groups. In the box was a tee shirt with their name on it. She was so excited that she screamed out in the restaurant. I am sure that the surrounding tables thought that I had just proposed to her because she got a couple of "congratulations". I tried my best to calm her down. But she was clearly happy with the present.
After her last reaction to the previous present, I was reluctant to give her her last present. But after much reassurance that she would be calm, I gave her a tee shirt that had ASHEVILLE on it. Cynthia had purchased a trip for me to Asheville, NC. I knew that Sylvia wanted to come, but wasn't included in the original plans. But with everyone on the trip asking about her and realizing that I wouldn't enjoy the trip as much without her, I went ahead and made arrangements to have her come with us. She was so happy she cried.
To top all that off, the restaurant brought out a complimentary birthday cake with sparklers on it. It was huge. The picture does not do it justice.
