The first stop in Seattle is always the Space Needle. It stands 605 feet tall and was built in 1962 for the Century 21 Exposition, a space age-themed world's fair. There is a restaurant housed at the top and, of course, the views are fantastic. Apparently, masking was still required while in the observation deck. The glass floor was pretty amazing but because Jordan has acrophobia, getting her to stand on the glass floor for a picture wasn't easy.

Jordan Fireplace Sandia Mountains Kevin asked Cynthia if he could have a popsickle. Cynthia said, "Yes, but only one!"

But Cynthia had her eye on her own type of refreshment (pictured to the right).
To each, his own...right! But, the food and service at the Witness was great and the drink was definitely yummy!

The middle picture (above) was taken at the glass garden, the Chihuly Garden. It was touch and go since Kevin apparently got too close to the glass sculptures for the liking of the museum guards who kept warning Cynthia to keep a tighter reign on him. It was a quick walk through the exhibit after that. But luckily, they were close to the pier where Kevin was free to roam, jump, climb and have fun without getting mommy into any trouble! After a fun cruise around the Seattle harbor, they all enjoyed fresh pastries from the Alaskan Sourdough Bakery. Cynthia said it was so good, they ended up eating there twice during their stay.

They also had a chance to ride the Great Wheel, shown here in the background.

And, of course, there was the Seattle Aquarium. The two coolist exhibits were the octopus (Cynthia said, "We could have watched for hours.") and The Life on the Edge exhibit, where they got to touch the hermit crabs, the sea stars and the sea anemone. They were slimy and rough just like one of Kevin's kisses!!! One even sucked Cynthia's finger in... and that "scared the crap" out of her!

Add in a one-hour cruise around the harbor. Despite the blistery cold, windy day, it was both fun and educational.

And like all good trips, it's time to say goodbye and head back home to our routine.

But, hey, there are always dreams of our next adventure!
