Roman Garcia's
1st Birthday Party

March 12, 2022

pizza pizza Jonathan and Clarissa celebrated Roman's first birthday with the family at Peter Piper's Pizza on North Foster Road in San Antonio. Thirty-five people came together to celebrate the event including the Garcia's, the Viesca's, the Alaquinez's, the Resendes', the Ramirez's and extended family members and friends. We took over about a quarter of the pizza place!!! There would have been more but Cynthia, Jordan and Kevin were in Seattle and Michelle couldn't make it to San Antonio for the weekend.

The Ramirez family and their brood had a chance to meet everyone.

Stella, Lillybelle and Khloe (Sylvia's great granddaughter) formed a tight and competitive group of girls who played air hockey, bowling and rode various rides as they collected tickets for various prizes. Pancho and his youngest daughter, Casey, joined in on the fun.

Above: Lillybelle and Khloe battle it out on the air hockey table while George and Jessica cheer them on.

After a couple of hours of drinks, pizza, wings, games and laughs, we sang the "Happy Birthday" song to Roman and began handing out presents.

The birthday cake was a beautiful triple layer "tuxedo" cake (see first photo above) that I'm sure the one-year old will only appreciate in pictures retrospectively.

Of course, ever present is the new matriarch of the family, Diane, holding the baby. She has, at one time or another, helped to raise all of the kids and has always been there to help.

It really was a great family gathering.
Everyone seemed to come together for a few hours and it was like old times once again, sharing old stories and making new ones that we'll talk about down the road sometime in the future.
