In 2019, Cynthia, Jordan, Kevin and I took a trip for a COFFEE AND CHOCOLATE FESTIVAL in Albuquerque, NM that Cynthia found online. A festival involving 2 of her favorite things was worth the road trip. It seemed like it was a good time to repeat the trip with James! If I remember correctly, we had Kevin in a baby carriage most of the time, and wheeling him through the crowds was difficult. I'm sure this trip was easier!
When I convinced Cynthia to stop at Roswell, NM to visit "Alien City USA" I didn't know that it would turn into a tradition. But we had so much fun last time, I guess she wanted to do it again. It really is a fun stop and everyone in town seems to have a good time living up to the folklore.
In the first picture, above, Kevin is seen posing with an Alien (Note: Kevin is the one on the
left).
In the third picture, James is also pictured with the aliens (again, James is the one on the left)!
The Alien Museum and town of Roswell was full of fun sights and sounds.
But the most amazing aliens seen during the trip were these two species in the photo on the left? Clearly extra-terrestrial -- observe the widely-spaced, vacant eyes, the fang-like teeth and the antennae sprouting from their heads! Notice that they have metal pieces placed just under their lower lips so that they can receive radio signals from the mother ship hidden in the desert!
But it was fun to explore New Mexico and Albuquerque for it's wonderful food and entertainment.
The trip was complete with a variety of coffee and chocolate products that were sampled and taken home. But amid the sights and sounds of the New Mexico Road trip apparently the best time Jordan had was spending a couple of hundred dollars at Barnes and Noble. Well, at least she's enhancing her education.
I'm sure they all had a great time and I'm just going to have to join them when they go again. Now, I'm wondering, did Cynthia get to buy me a new favorite souvenir hat pictured to the right at the Alien Museum (International UFO Museum and Research Center)! This one is about 4 years old and I'm ready for a new one!
