It was a week full of birthdays as the girls came together to celebrate not only Michelle's 31st birthday, but also Jordan's 16th birthday and Kevin's 3rd birthday. It seemed like we were partying the whole time and it was hard separating the three since they were all in a row.
To the left is a picture of Michelle and Clint with Cynthia and Erica at Pappadeaux's Restaurant in San Antonio. To the right, instead of a regular birthday cake, Cynthia bought cupcakes at Small Cakes Bakery.
Of course, all of the grandkids were with us. Everyone got a chance to carry Sophia and Stella at one time or another, even Kevin! We started off with drinks and toasts to Michelle and Mom. Then it was on to too many appetizers and bowls of gumbo and lobster bisque. In fact, by the time the main course was served, we were all fairly drunk and fairly full.
It seemed like the grandkids were everywhere! Here the nephew and nieces are enjoying time with each other. Sophia, who now has 5 teeth, bit the #!?%$@ out of my finger. That'll teach me not to go sticking my fingers in other people's mouths! The middle picture is rather scary. Just what we need. A 3 year old teaching a 9 month old how to drive.
(They'll still probably be better drivers than their grandpa!!!)
After a couple of hours of drink, food and fun, we headed back home to open presents and eat those delicious cup cakes. We played "Michelle" by the Beatles about a dozen times and then sang Happy Birthday to Michelle. She then opened her many presents but unfortunately, no one captured any photos during this time. I will tell you that amid all the gift cards, make-up, fancy tea and books, her favorite present was a CATS poster that incidently had a little money attached to it. Also, before she left town, she was treated to a shopping spree at Sephora's. Yes, she was spoiled but, hey... we only get to spoil her once a year, right!
