Although Michael actually turned 50 on January 11, we celebrated his birthday on December 30th as a pre-New Year's Celebration. 
We all met at Luther's Cafe on Main Street in downtown San Antonio. Present for the celebration was George & Jordan Resendes, Diane, Jennifer & Destiny Alaquinez, Anna & Sonny, Cathy & her daughter, Miranda. Of course, Michael and David were there along with about 7 of his friends from work. We had a fairly large festive group of 18 folks! We got there early and made the most of Happy Hour. Then the Drag Diva show started. The show was MC'd by Lady Gaga. She was hilarious as she worked the crowd. She also did a couple of music numbers during the night. The star of the show was Sweet Savage who started the first set dressed as Cher. She treated us to a great lip-sync of the hit song, "Believe".
We had an intermission break between sets. Here I am with my "one-dollar bills" ready to pay the performers for their efforts. I'd say more about this but what happens at the Drag Show, stays at the Drag show! This picture is as close as I am going to get to admitting that I was even there! Jordan and Miranda got to experience their first Drag Queen Show and a little more of their innocence is lost forever.
Also, between sets we had a chance to light the candles and sing "Happy Birthday" to Michael. Gifts and more toasts with whiskey shots followed.
