Jordan passes into her Junior year!
June 2020

JordanBirthday1 Well, despite the one-of-a-kind school year that was brought on by COVID-19, Jordan excelled in her home schooling and easily passed into her upcoming Junior year at South San Antonio High School. JordanBirthday2Up until this past week, the restaurants were closed but slowly opening up for business, so we decided a celebration at Eddie V's Wildfish restaurant (one of Jordan's favorites) was in order.
Jordan3 Jordan, Kevin, Cynthia and I were present. We began with a toast to Jordan for her accomplishment. Jordan's glass had an alcohol free juice (at least that's what the waitress said; I didn't test it), but Cynthia and I had a glass of complementary champagne. Jordanbirthday4

The selfie to the right is Cynthia and Jordan getting dressed up for their special night out.
And then the food and drinks came by in a steady succession! We all ordered the baked Crab cake! It is one of the main things on the menu that we love and the main reason for picking the restaurant. There also was a steady flow of martinis through the evening. Pictured here is Cynthia's Cucumber Martini. We ended up having 3 apiece. My martinis were Lemon Drop, Blueberry Lemon Drop and finally one with muddled strawberries! They were all delicious and more like dessert than alcoholic beverages.

Jordan even got a congratulatory dessert from the restaurant--Bananas Foster. It was magical when the waitress poured the flaming hot sauce all over it. Kevin started singing, "Happy Birthday..." and then tried to blow out the dessert!

It was a great night and the only downer during the evening was when they brought out the bill for the whole thing. But, after all, it was a special occasion.
