Diane & Julian once again host Easter cookout at their home.
April 2023

Las vegas hotel room Las vegas hotel room The usual cast of characters assembled in Somerset for some fun and food. David and Michael (left) actually drove back to San Antonio from Eagle Pass for the day to spend it with the family. It was great having them there for the few hours before they headed back to Eagle Pass for the evening! Julian cooked up a feast. Korey, Jonathan, Roman and Jace all joined in the festivities.

For me, it was triply special since I had all three of my girls (and all 4 of my grandkids) present for the holiday.

"Mom" (Cynthia) got the whole Easter basket of confetti. But she wears it well, doesn't she?
The highlight of the day for the kids though was the Easter egg hunt. There were plenty of 'eggs' to go around because each kid got more than enough to fill their baskets. Here they are showing off their treasures.

It was a relaxing day of good drinks, good food and great company. Of course, we played "21" with Julian as the dealer for the day.

It should be noted that many of these photos came from the camera of Gidget who unfortunately took pictures of everyone else, but never seemed to get in any of the photos herself.

The pictures below were actually taken at Erica's house before we went to Diane's. Andrew had made his own Easter cookout and Sylvia, Michelle, Sophia and I stopped by for an hour or so for a drink and some holiday time before heading off to Diane & Julian's place. Despite the fact that Andrew made some super-delicious ribs, I didn't get any pictures of the food OR ANDREW!

Wax Museum Visit Festival sign Well, this is the way we always seem to celebrate Easter --with family, cards, good food and plenty of fun. From the picture to the left, you can see that Korey, Michelle, Julian and the kids (Stella, Lillybelle & Sophia) were getting ready for the Easter egg hunt. To the right, a familiar look at Julian dealing 21 and everyone smiling in anticipation of their winning Julian's money! Somehow, just like "the house" in Vegas, Julian always seems to come out on top!
