Diana Ross Concert, July 5, 2017

Diana Ross 07It was a magical night of nostalgia when we attended the Diana Ross Concert at the Majestic Theater in San Antonio. Eight of us went to see her perform many of her hits with the Supremes plus her solo hits. Included with the group that night were: Michael and David Viesca, Anna Vela, Jennifer and Diana Alaquinez, Cynthia, Erica and George Resendes. As usual, we had great seats with great views of the stage.

Las vegas hotel room The night started out at Luther's Cafe on Main Street where we had mainly drinks and appetizers.
Everyone was excited and we left for the theater to get settled in well before the show started.

Cynthia, Erica and I stopped at a new deli place just a few doors down from the Majestic theater and had a quick dessert. It was hard to pass the window displaying all of there desserts. Wax Museum Visit Wax Museum Visit

The opening act was actually Diana Ross' daughter who sang for about 20 minutes. Although she had a great voice and stage personality, we were there to see a legend, and sure enough, when Diana Ross walked on stage, the place erupted. We were on our feet most of the rest of the night moving to her well known songs. My favorite moment was when she came in with her classic arm movement in "Stop, In the Name of Love!". Everyone had their arms up mimicking her movements. As she went through her repertoire, she had multiple costumes changes.

To say it was a memorable night, does not do it justice.
But... I could swear... Connie was singing along with us the whole night long!
