Jennifer, with a little help from Cynthia, hosted a grand gender reveal party at the Stout House on Stone Oak for Destiny and Jace. It was a festive gathering of friends and relatives all eager to find out the gender of our newest addition to the family.
Jennifer set up the event, while Cynthia arranged for the beautifully decorated cake and matching cupcakes!
The proud Grandparents-to-be became tearful as Destiny opened the box revealing an explosion of pink confetti and pink balloons. Having had 3 girls myself, I felt like we could have used another possible quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys but feeling the sentiment in the crowd, I think I was in the minority as everyone was joyously happy for the couple and their parents. It really was a wonderful way to experience the news with everyone finding out at the same time. It seemed to exponentially increase the joy in the room.
Of course, adding to the fun and festivities were the food and drinks that were provided by
Diane,
Julian,
Pauline and her boyfriend,
Corey who graciously supplied the group with treats for the event. It was quite a spread of pasta, sandwiches and desserts which were all washed down with brews and assorted cocktails. Plus, being a sport's bar, we watched the Philadelphia Eagles crush the San Francisco 49er's on the penultimate football game of the season before the SuperBowl! A good time was had by all present.
And everyone got their chance to be pictured with the couple of the hour!
Even the kids present had a blast playing with each other while the adults partied on. And as the party was winding down, and with well-wishes being given to the expectant couple, plans were already being made for the baby shower for Destiny sometime in April. Just another reason to get together and have another party.
