Cynthia turns 38!
September 18, 2019

group pictureWell, it's hard to believe that 38 years have passed since Cynthia came into this world! As Sandy Denny aptly put it, "Who knows where the time goes?" The last time we went to the Magic Time Machine was for Cynthia's 4th (I believe) birthday party way back in the mid-80's. We had a great time then and we had a great time now. Betelgeuse (Beetlejuice) & Mavis from Hotel Transylvania were our servers. To the left is a picture taken of us around the table. Notice Betelgeuse next to Jordan on the right. He was funny and entertaining that evening! At the end of the night, a bunch of servers got together and did a birthday 'rap' for Cynthia. Totally different. We had a blast. Great food and drinks and plenty of laughs.

When the waiters were not entertaining us, Kevin was. He was more excited about the cup spewing out liquid nitrogen smoke than anything else that night. He also appeared to be enjoying Cynthia's surprise dessert.

Below are a couple more pictures of our waiters clowning around. Very entertaining bunch!

Then it was time to head back to the house for cake, ice cream & presents. The cake was a red velvet cake (Cynthia's favorite) from Nadler's Bakery. Jordan handed out the presents again but this time with a twist. Jordan and I got together and before we got to Cynthia's presents, we wrapped a variety of gifts for others in the room including: a gift each for Jordan, Erica, Sophia and Kevin. Everyone got a whistle. And, of course, we had to sing, "Cyndy's Birthday" to her. In addition, to money, clothes, books, make-up, candles and candy, she got tickets and a tee shirt for the Cher concert in December.

So, what's wrong with this picture!

You guessed it. Mom wasn't in it. But, as always, she is with us in spirit. (We miss you, my love...)

With three grandkids now and one on the way, our family keeps growing.
